(1998) - A muckabout thing from a long time ago. This animation came about after the big bossman at our company teased us regarding the work we did for our London
Underground project. He made all sorts of comments along the lines of we should put him in a helicopter, land him
on the company building and other such utter nonsense...
Well, he wanted helicopters...so he *got* them. After three months of utter secrecy (working in our own time), myself and my good buddy
Tom revealed an epic animation based more than a little bit loosely on the classic film "Apocalypse Now," and starring the bossman himself ...
Have a look at the thumbnails here to see what it was all about, or download it here if you've got bandwidth to burn (18Mb, Quicktime).
It's a quiet day at Beaumount House ... or is it?
Wait ... what's that on the horizon!?
It's the KnowledgePool Killer Attack Helicopter Squadron!
Armed to the hilt with their training payloads ...
and headed by 'El Presidente' - the boss man himself ...
Oh, and the rest of us guys too. Too many in jokes to mention...
Volleys of "training missiles" are fired in all directions ...
targeted at any company that needs our help!
This included one chap we were training online in the Antarctic ...
but as always it's the innocent bystanders...
... that suffer the most ...
or not, as in this case.
(no 3D animals were harmed while making this movie).
So, at last the Killer Mutant Raving Loony Helicopter Squadron arrives at Beaumont House...
passing by our local pub on the way (ah, happy times...)
"We have acquired the target"
The helicopter lands safely on the roof...
...and the boss man has all his wildest dreams come true. Awww...isn't
that nice?
