This project first saw the light of day in 1997. At the time, our team needed to develop a new version of our annual "showcase," a portfolio of multimedia projects to send out to potential customers. Additionally the showcase needed to include information about our company and services. Perhaps most importantly, the showcase needed to 'wow' the audience from the moment it started.

Given this rough brief, I elaborated on an idea that I had recently developed in full for Avis Europe, a 3D virtual building used as a user interface interface for delivering information. The virtual building in this case was based loosely on the KnowledgePool headquarters at Beaumont House, Windsor, England (a historic listed building dating from 1680).
