The solution we developed for London underground used Macromedia Pathware, which offered a comprehensive means for supporting all stages of the learning process within an enterprise.

The key aspects of Pathware that addressed the client's requirements in this instance were:-

It simplified training administration by maintaining an "enterprise database," consisting of all available courses, student demographics and detailed progress records for any amount of users

It supported multiple means for delivering computer-based training including the Web, CD-ROM, LAN, and local hard drives. It also allowed combinations of all these delivery methods

Pathware was able to track and centralise management of training courses developed using virtually any authoring tool

All these factors would allow London Underground the maximum flexibility in administration of users, method of delivery and also inspire the confidence that they were not ‘locked in’ to the use of any specific authoring tool for developing their own training material.

As mentioned above, to demonstrate all the abilities of this Pathware solution, we developed the "Fire Core Training" module.
