My primary role in this project was to create all the 3D content which was done using Discreet 3D Studio Max. I also used Discreet Character Studio to create character animations to illustrate "hazardous scenarios."
Also on the graphics side, I co-designed the 'look and feel' of the training interface. under special
license from Macromedia, we used their application "Interface Builder" to customise Pathware so that
the look and feel remained consistent throughout. All the interface graphics were created using Adobe
Photoshop.
My secondary role in the project was as a coder and tester (Fire Core was coded using Macromedia
Authoware). Following the project's successful conclusion I had sole responsibility for coding publicity versions of "Fire Core" for the company showcase CD and also for the Macromedia European
User Conference '99.
At the latter, the project was a finalist in the Corporate Training category where it received special
recognition for it's highly sophisticated use of Macromedia Pathware and it's use of 3D animation in training.
