This is a website that I designed and developed for a company called M and W Systems based in Hayward, CA. (www.flowrite.com).

The company makes temperature control systems (heaters, chillers, coolers, heat exchangers), for many different applications in a huge variety of industries. They're especially popular among semi-conductor manufacturers - the processor you've got in your PC was probably cooled by one of these babies when it was made!

The company already had a website, published by Thomas Register (an industrial parts and services catalogue). However this website had always been considered temporary, and the company felt the time was right for this website to be overhauled and substantially exapanded.

Roughly my brief was to:

- Scope, design, illustrate and create the new company website
- Link to an existing ecommerce solution (via Thomas Register)
- Implement an online quotes system

One of the best aspects of this project was that since the company makes most machinery totally according to customer requirements there weren't pictures available for what they would term their "standard units."

So I got to sit down with 3DS Max and create all the different product lines, and use those for the page illustrations instead! The flash slide show here shows some of the different machines I created.

Creation time was very quick too. Basically I created a "tool box" of all the standard machine components which I could quickly slap on to the different types of machine cases. I had the lot completed in just a couple of days!
